How to Use Citizen Coin: Training for VCSE Organisations

Citizen Coin is a free platform for you to advertise volunteering opportunities, with an easy sign up process for 'rewarding agencies'.

As a VCSE organisation, you can advertise activities and reward participants - new and existing - with Citizen Coins which can then be exchanged at local participating retailers for discounts on goods and services.

It's quick and easy to list different activities, and there are already 40 retailers in Wakefield City Centre where your volunteers can exchange their coins.

There are currently 320 registered users who might be interested in supporting your organisation and there's been some successful volunteer recruitment already!

About the Training

Nova is holding three training sessions for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations working in Wakefield District to learn more about Citizen Coin and how to use it. Relevant for staff and trustees at local charities, community groups, sports clubs, and social enterprises.

The workshop will cover:

  • Adding additional administrators
  • Setting up an activity
  • Pre-requisites to confirm applicants
  • Print your QR code
  • Pay coins
