Free CPD Workshop: Gender Specific Workshop Approach to Trauma Informed Care

Originally established in 1985, the Well Women Centre is a registered charity with a long track record of providing mental and wellbeing services, continuing professional development and professional supervision services across the Wakefield District.

What WWC Do

Well Women Centre offer one to one and group work for women and girls aged 16 and over. The service is by women for women and they employ qualified and experienced professionals. Well Women Centre offer training to professionals who provide front facing support in the community.

Gender Specific, Trauma Informed Care

Well Women Centre have developed a training workshop for professionals, aiming to enhance knowledge and understanding of working with women within a gender specific, trauma informed approach.

They offer this 2 hour workshop in person or virtually. It is facilitated by practitioners with extensive experience of direct work with vulnerable and disengaged female service users both locally and regionally.

Well Women Centre are providing the workshop to front-line practitioners and managerial professionals throughout the Wakefield District, arrange to suit your team. Already been delivered to many local VCSE organisations!

Learning objectives are to improve understanding of gender specific and trauma informed principles, gain knowledge around best practice and to consider how this fits within your own role and professional setting.
