Youth Support Worker

The Youth Association is one of the oldest and one of the most innovative youth work charities in the UK. Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of youth work sessions in community, school, and street-based settings. Work alongside Lead Youth Workers to help plan, run, and review activities that engage and support young people. You will complete a Level 3 JNC-recognised youth work qualification while in the role.

  • Work directly with young people across South and West Yorkshire in different environments.
  • Help deliver youth sessions and activities that are safe, engaging, and positive.
  • Assist with session planning and contribute ideas for activities.
  • Support evaluation by giving feedback and keeping basic session notes.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with young people and act as a role model.
  • Encourage youth voice and participation in activities.
  • Attend team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies at all times.
  • Work as part of a team and build good relationships with colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Complete the required Youth Work qualification alongside the job.
