St George's Lupset are looking to recruit a number of part time or sessional Children and Young People’s Workers, with a background in Play Work, Youth Work or with other equivalent proven experience. You will be part of a small team supporting Young People in a variety of open access Youth Café’s and closed Group Work Sessions and Detached and Outreach sessions.
The work will include evenings, school holidays and occasional weekends. St George's can offer a range of hours to suit individuals and this will be discussed at the interview stage. The post is based St George’s Community Centre, although you will be required to work off site from time to time. They are looking for creative thinkers who understand the issues children and young people face. A key focus for this post is working collaboratively with children, young people, parents and other partners to achieve the Young Futures aims.

St George's have a four-stage application process made up of expressions of interest, working interviews, formal application and formal interviews. Working Interviews
The purpose of the working interview is to assess your interaction with young people. You will be expected to spend time with a small group of young people answering their questions and generally chatting about yourself and the Young Futures work.
Formal application form
If you pass stage 2 you will be invited for interview and will be expected to complete an application form detailing how you meet the criteria on the Person Specification. Please read these carefully and be sure to demonstrate in your application form how you meet the essential criteria by providing examples of previous experience or knowledge.
Interviews
This is a traditional interview where you will be asked a number of questions by a small panel including young people. You will then have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel.
