Community Connector (Eastmoor & College Grove)

This post has been created following collaboration between local stakeholders working in the communities of Eastmoor and College Grove. It has been developed in response to identified local needs and is designed to strengthen community connections, improve coordination between services, and support better outcomes for residents.

The Community Connector will focus on building relationships across sectors, improving communication between organisations, and identifying and addressing gaps in local provision. Working on an outreach basis, they will engage directly with communities to ensure services are responsive and well-informed.

Key Responsibilities

Develop stronger links between local organisations, services, and community groups operating in Eastmoor and College Grove.
Identify gaps in services and collaborate with statutory services, education, health, and the VCSE sector to address them.
Gather local intelligence and insight and share this with the wider stakeholder group.
Produce and distribute a regular local newsletter featuring updates, opportunities, and community news.
Work with the stakeholder group to coordinate and deliver a regular calendar of community events.
Actively engage with residents and organisations to build an understanding of local needs and priorities.

Successful applicants will be subject to DBS checks and references.

Contract: Fixed-term for 3 years (dependent on funding)
