Patient Carer Race Equality Framework Communities Stakeholder Group

As part of South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust's (SWYPFT) partnership working with people and communities, they’d invite you to get involved in coproducing their approach to reducing health inequalities. This commences with The Patient and Carers Race Equality Framework (PCREF).

PCREF is a recommendation following the 2018 independent review of the Mental Health Act.

What does PCREF aim to do?

• Support the Trust on their journey to becoming an actively anti-racist organisation.
  

• It is mandated by NHS England which ensures that we are responsible for co-producing and implementing concrete actions to reduce racial inequalities within services.
  

• Act as a mechanism evidencing what we are strong at and areas for improvement in work towards actively involving service users and carers in decision making, and improving their access, experiences and outcomes.
