Achieving impact in a challenging financial context
In recent years, charities across the sector have faced rising costs due to inflation, declining levels of funding, and increasing demand for services. Managing financial difficulties in these conditions is leading many charities to difficult decisions. From increased partnerships, to mergers, or even closure. But trustees should be considering these options regularly, whether finances are stable or not. And maximising your impact with the resources you have should always be central to decisions.
As trustees, we need to start having more open conversations about difficult organisational finances, and how we can still deliver our intended impact. It’s our responsibility to identify challenges and oversee changes.
What will we cover?
In this event we will hear from trustees across the sector, to discuss:
- How to identify financial warning signs
- How to keep focussed on impact when times are hard
- The role of trustees in managing change.
Who is it for?
This event is free and open to all trustees, with a particular focus on those of small and medium-sized organisations.
