Live Well Wakefield is a social prescribing service that empowers people to access resources in their communities that enable them to feel happier and healthier. These grants support this service, funding VCSE organisations to:
For this round of funding, we’re focusing on provision around low level mental health support for working ages adults (26-50 years of age).
We would also like to further develop the successful “Live Well Champion” volunteer programme and would ask that you consider how your volunteers can support your offer. The identified champion would be a named individual who has a deeper understanding of the Live Well Wakefield service through attendance at a brief session about this, supporting referrals and the sharing of information both ways.
Please consider the themes and requests above when making your application. They are not referenced in the Supporting Information document which is universal to each round of Live Well Wakefield Small Grants.
Grants of up to £10,000 are available.
We will consider applications for two years of funding at a maximum of £10,000 per year where you can demonstrate how this supports long term sustainability, clear evaluation methods, and an existing relationship with Live Well Wakefield.
The amount of funding applied for can’t be more than 50% of annual turnover.
These grants are for VCSE organisations working in Wakefield District. We welcome applications from voluntary groups, community groups, sports clubs, leisure clubs, charities, community interest companies, limited companies, and social enterprises.

Grants up to £30,000 are available from Wakefield Council for providers to deliver enriching activities and healthy food to eligible children during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas school holidays.
WCIT grants of up to £15,000 are available for educational establishments and not-for-profit organisations to support IT projects and activities.
Grants ranging from £500 to £3,000 to be used to improve or transform outdoor community spaces where people can meet and be together, and build pride in their local areas.
