West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership have started with a simple question that they want to try to answer: what is their approach to co-production?

Across West Yorkshire, they have said that it is about people, communities and organisations from across health and care working together as equal partners with a fundamental shift in the balance of power – thinking about the power that WY HCP hold, how that shows up and how it can be shared and redistributed.

WY HCP know that our voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) are often experts in working with our communities and across health and care organisations with amazing innovative work happening around co-production. If you want to be part of answering WY HCP's question – there are two ways you can be involved:

Join our West Yorkshire Co-Production Group

If you would like to be part of the WY Co-Production Group trying to answer this question, please complete a short survey, which asks a few questions about you, what you want to get from the group and other people who you think might want to be involved.

WY HCP will then send you through diary invites to the online sessions, which takes place every six weeks.

Share any examples of good practice around co-production

In developing their approach to co-production, WY HCP want to make sure that they celebrate what already exists across each of our Places (Bradford District & Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield).

Please upload via Google Drive (just drag and drop) examples of where:

  • you/your organisation has done co-production done well
  • you think someone else has done co-production well
  • locally, regionally or nationally you have seen principles, guides, toolkits, templates etc. that have helped you do co-production well
