It’s no surprise that online shopping grew by a huge 46% last year. Our new collaboration with fundraising website easyfundraising means VCSE groups in our district can turn these new shopping habits into an ongoing revenue stream. Over 100 organisations in Wakefield are already making the most of it, read more to find out how you can get involved….
It’s very simple – thousands of leading online retailers, including Amazon, eBay, Sainbury’s, and Trainline, will make a small donation to your organisation whenever your staff, volunteers and supporters use the easyfundraising website or app to shop with them.
As the majority of people now shop online, this is an easy way to boost funds and generate additional income. An average online shopper can raise around £25 each year with easyfundraising. Multiply that by the number of people connected to your organisation and you can see how much collectively they could raise for you.
Your organisation does not need to be a registered charity to raise money through easyfundraising and it is open to voluntary organisations of all shapes and sizes. Over £35 million has been raised for good causes by people using easyfundraising, including £4 million in 2020 alone.
It doesn’t cost anything to use easyfundraising as the retailer makes the donation, not the shopper. It’s free to register and use and it’s an easy and simple way of raising funds in the background while your organisation concentrates on its day-to-day tasks.
Our partnership with easyfundraising enables us to benefit from a small commission when organisations that we refer sign up to easyfundraising. This means that both members and Nova can benefit, and any money we raise will be used to benefit our members.
