Job Purpose
The purpose of the Male ISVA role is to provide proactive, non‑therapeutic advocacy and support individuals who have experienced rape or sexual violence, both within and outside the criminal justice system. The role ensures that survivors receive timely, trauma‑informed support that promotes their safety, wellbeing, rights and access to services.
Main Responsibilities
- Offer emotional and practical support, including for those involved in the criminal justice system.
- Support access to therapeutic services, health services, and other relevant agencies, helping clients build their own support networks.
- Carry out risk assessments, respond to safeguarding concerns, and promote safety.
- Keep clients informed of case progress and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in supervision, appraisals, team meetings, group work, and external training delivery.
- Provide information on the impact of sexual violence and signpost to specialist support.
- Work within RASAC’s ethos and maintain professional relationships with partner agencies.
