
Sovereign Health Care funds work associated with health and wellbeing that is wholly charitable and usually undertaken either by registered charities or by organisations that have been established for charitable purposes, are properly constituted and have a bank account.
In terms of specific diseases and conditions, they give priority to those that are particularly prevalent in Bradford, especially: heart disease; chest/lung disease; lung cancer; stroke; diabetes; breast cancer; bowel cancer; prostate cancer; and oral cancer.
The majority of grants made are for services and activities within West Yorkshire, with a marked bias towards Bradford.
