This funding from Wakefield Council is available to support this work in Knottingley and Ferrybridge, by working with grassroots groups and community organisations who know their neighbourhoods best.
These grants are for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations already working in Knottingley or Ferrybridge, or with strong existing links there.
The Gateway is funding activities that support residents of the area with their physical health or mental health. This could look like:
The Gateway welcomes applications from constituted community groups, charities, CICs, CIOs and unincorporated charitable associations. Applicants must have a business bank account for the organisation. Read more about eligibility in the Information Pack.

One-year flexible funding for projects that improve nature for local communities.
Unrestricted grants of up to £45,000 (over 1–3 years) plus strategic pro bono business support to help small charities, CIOs, CICs and CBSs grow or strengthen.
Grants for VCSE organisations to run community-led projects for: men aged 35–59 who are unemployed, economically inactive or facing economic precarity; and older men (60+) experiencing key life transition.
