We are delighted to announce that Hayley Grocock has been appointed as Nova’s Chair of the Board of Trustees.

A message from Hayley:

"Having been a Trustee at Nova since 2018, I was delighted to become Vice Chair a few months ago, and even more thrilled to have now been elected Chair by my colleagues on the Board.

My day job as CEO of Wakefield District Sight Aid means I know only too well how vital the support of local infrastructure organisations is, particularly for small charities, and so much of the value of Nova is in bringing people together for peer support, knowledge sharing, networking, and opportunities for meaningful collaboration.

The challenges we face as a sector today are significant but, as your colleague and Chair, I am hopeful, because I know that together we are strong and resilient. The courage, commitment and skills I see from colleagues across the VCSE sector, who show up for their communities day in, day out, is truly inspiring and it is a privilege to be part of this amazing team and wonderful sector."

Maddy Sutcliffe, our CEO, shared “I’m delighted to welcome Hayley as our new Chair. Her values-led approach, experience, and commitment to supporting local VCSE Sector organisations and communities will be a huge asset to Nova, and I’m looking forward to working together as we continue to grow our impact.”

We would like to thank Chris Bann for guiding Nova as Chair in the past three years, and continuing to support our work as Vice Chair of the Board.

It’s an exciting time of development for us and we look forward to sharing some more updates about our Board soon.
