It's been great to see local organisations and community groups getting use out of the monthly 'Ask Nova' drop in. When we've run this online, we heard from you that it made the drop-in 1) quicker to access and 2) easier for organisations not close to the city centre (where our office is based).

So going forward these advice drop-ins will be online.

Why join?

It's a quick way to get advice, ask questions or start the conversation about an issue you want to resolve. We're here to help whether you're starting out or have been established for years.

You'll be met by one of our experienced Advisers on Microsoft Teams. You can expect:

• Free, reliable advice
• Stay for 10 minutes or longer
• Reassurance and clarity about technical questions
• Attention to detail over important decisions and documents

This could cover:

• Funding and fundraising
• Governance and policies
• Project planning
• Enterprising to diversify your income
• Volunteer management
• Safeguarding
• Getting started as an organisation
• Marketing and design
• Anything else on your mind

Who is it for?

The drop in is for staff, trustees, and volunteers from a VCSE organisation working in Wakefield District. This includes:

• Charities
• Community groups
• Faith-based organisations
• Social enterprises
• CICs (Community Interest Companies)
• Co-operatives
• Voluntary organisations
• Environmental or heritage groups

You don't need to book, just email the adviser leading the drop-in so they can send you a Teams link for your preferred time.

You can join Microsoft Teams links online even if you don't have it installed. If you'd prefer to use Zoom or have any issues accessing these online sessions, please let us know as we're happy to make adjustments so that this works for you. The drop-in does not replace the existing support available from the Adviser Team, who you can still request support from using our usual methods and meet in person if you'd prefer.
