How to Improve Your Governance

This free workshop is all about the foundations of your organisation, something that’s essential for any organisation running sport activities and important to keep reviewing. You don’t have to figure it out alone, get advice from an experienced professional on governance and leadership so that you’re in a strong position for funding and to keep doing what you do best.

We’ll cover legal obligations, legal constraints on activity and finances, requirements and liability for different roles, policies and procedures, insurance limitations, NGB expectations (if that applies to you), organisation structure, best practice and more.

Who should attend

Anyone involved in running or managing a club, group or organisation that is:

  • Involved in delivering any type of sport / physical activity (can be affiliated or not affiliated to a National Governing Body)
  • Supporting your local community as an un/constituted group, charity, social enterprise or community benefit society
