The Sir George Martin Trust is an independent grantmaker which aims to improve the well-being of economically and socially disadvantaged people in West Yorkshire by giving grants to locally-based, registered charities and churches who support their local community.
The Trust generally gives out flexible, one-off grants for running, capital and project costs, ranging from £500 – £5,000, however grants in the region of £2,000 – £3,000 are most common.
Grants are available to registered charities and churches doing outreach work, who are working to improve the wellbeing of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in West Yorkshire.

AS THERE IS CURRENTLY SUCH A HIGH DEMAND FOR GRANTS, WE ARE NOW FULL UP FOR OUR FEBRUARY MEETING AND UNFORTUNATELY CAN’T TAKE ANYMORE ENQUIRIES OR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR FEBRUARY. Grants to support grassroots organisations providing safe social spaces, mentoring, work, or social skills for young people aged 11 to 25 years old. Priorities are safe spaces, diversionary activities and life skills.
Grants available for UK-based Charities/Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) working with vulnerable children and young adults, especially those at risk of sexual and other forms of exploitation.
Grants for UK-registered charities for projects supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Projects should provide life skills, including food education, healthy living and budgeting.
