The Henry Sale Foundation support registered charities that are in line with their principles. They prefer to put funding behind specific projects a charity is running, rather than a general donation.
Applications for funds over £1,000 must be agreed upon by all the trustees in person. The trustees meet three times a year, so sizeable donations to charities can take longer to be accepted than applications for causes.
Social Inclusion
Helping individuals integrate into society and bringing communities together.
Education
Promoting education is key to making a lasting difference. Helping individuals and communities understand the countryside, and giving them the knowledge to live healthy, active lifestyles are highly viewed by the trustees. This is closely to linked to the following...
Helping People and Charities to Help Themselves
Any causes focused on helping people to help themselves, or charities just starting out with the intention to become self-funding in the future are positively considered by the Foundation.
Countryside
Causes that promote the countryside, countryside values, and the rural industry were close to Henry's heart, and the trustees highly value any applications that help spread the joy of the countryside.
Sport and Healthy Recreation
Henry lived an active lifestyle, playing cricket, rugby and squash during his life. Causes or projects that bring sport to new players or encourage active lifestyles are ones that we would love to get behind.
