Wakefield Council’s Culture Grants 2026 are open, and this year’s grants are here to help communities and VCSE organisations bring creative ideas to life across our district.
Three grant strands are available:
The grants support groups to co-produce creative and heritage projects by Wakefield communities. Do you dream of running an inspiring sculpture workshop in your neighbourhood park? Creating a new exhibition of work to celebrate local heritage? Activities to boost health and wellbeing through music, performance, or creative writing? This is your chance to make it happen in your community.
Culture Grants 2026 are supported by the West Yorkshire’s Combined Authority’s ‘Seasons of Culture -Nature 2026’. Applications to Culture Grants Medium and Large must respond to one of three themes – Creative Wellbeing, Creativity and Nature, and New Creative Work. These themes are outlined in full within the application guidance found on the Culture Grants website.
