Simple Approaches To Demonstrating Your Impact To The Health System

This interactive training session provides an overview of simple impact measures and how you might use them in your organisation.

The VCSE sector often struggles with some of the traditional evaluation and health economics questionnaires that health and social care systems like to use. They may have concerns that using these questionnaires risks upsetting or retraumatising people and disrupting the flow of creative activities.

Professor Chris Dayson (Sheffield Hallam University) and colleagues have identified two alternative measures that work for decision-makers and the VCSE: the Wellbeing Life Year (WELLBY) and the simple Patient Activation Measure (PAM).

This training session provides an overview of these measures and how you might use them in your organisation. It will be interactive with space for discussion.

This session is free to attend and is for VCSE organisations operating in Wakefield District which deliver health and/or wellbeing-related services, activities or support, and who collect routine data. Lunch will be provided.

This training session is being offered by the Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Wakefield, which is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).

Please contact hdrc@wakefield.gov.uk if you have any questions or require financial support to attend this session.
