Information about
Migration Yorkshire VCS Engagement Day 2026
Migration Yorkshire is delighted to be able to host our VCS Engagement Day 2026 at The Studio, Leeds, Riverside West, Whitehall Road, Leeds LS1 4AW, on Tuesday 17 March 2026!
The day will focus on sharing information with each other, horizon scanning and thinking about how the sector can best respond to current and future situations. Catch up with what’s going on across all migration agendas, share ideas and best practice, and have plenty of time to network.
The programme includes:
- Street Level Bureaucracy: how can this idea be applied in everyday advocacy and VCS provision? How can a diversity of tactics affect change? Hosted by the University of Sheffield and City of Sanctuary UK
- Staying safe and speaking out - How can we be confident in our communications? Hosted by IMIX
- How can the sector be a place of strength and sanctuary in 2026? Hosted by City of Sanctuary UK and Solace
- How do we prepare for an increased use of immigration enforcement? Hosted by Right to Remain
- How can we collectively organise and build local pathways for new arrivals so that everyone can access the support they need? Hosted by North East Migration Partnership and Migration Yorkshire
- How can we make ESOL provision work for everyone? Hosted by Migrant English Support Hub (MESH) and Migration Yorkshire
Please note that this event is for those who work or volunteer in the Voluntary and Community Sector only.
