Project Costs support the aims and delivery of a specific piece of work. This work will usually be time-limited, and based on a defined set of activities.
The Project Costs Funding Stream is for charities and not-for-profit organisations. Applicants to this programme can apply for grants for up to three years. They aim to give quicker decisions for grants of £15,000 or less per year.
Who can apply?
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving their systems and processes, BBC Children in Need are transitioning to a new grantmaking system. This transition will take place throughout 2025 and they will launch the new system by the end of September. During this period there will be some disruption to our grant programmes.
As a result BBC Children in Need will be unable to accept new Expressions of Interest applications after 15th April 2025 until they launch the new grantmaking system, by the end of September 2025.
Grants of up to £500 are available for volunteering or community service projects that are run by young people aged 30 and younger to help them put their ideas into action and run projects that benefit others.
As part of its new grant-making Strategy 2022-25, BBC Children in Need has launched a grants stream for core costs.
Grants for registered charities for a variety of projects and activities that support children and young people under the age of 26,with an emphasis on creating educational and/or access opportunities.
