Wakefield Council are inviting organisations, community groups and local providers to take part in the Time Well Spent Festival 2026, a month-long programme of physical, creative, cultural and community activities for people aged 50+ in October. Submit your activities by Friday 14 August.

Leaders from Children’s Social Care, West Yorkshire Police and the Wakefield Integrated Care Board invite you to hear about the proposed changes being developed through the Families First Partnership programme and what these changes may mean for children, families, services, and organisations across the district. An important one for VCSE organisations working around family support services within Wakefield.

At a time when unemployment is a growing concern, West Yorkshire Combined Authority is reviewing the publicly funded support which is available to everyone in the region with a view to improving employment outcomes. VCSE organisations are invited to contribute at this workshop and share their experience of employment support in the current system.
