VCSE Sector Annual Conference: Online Harms and Artificial Intelligence

The Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, and Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Baroness Alison Lowe OBE, invite you to the sixth annual VCSE Sector Conference to celebrate the sector’s achievements and collaborative efforts over the past 12 months and discuss upcoming challenges and opportunities.

This year’s conference will focus on two key themes:

Online Harms - as concerns grow across communities it is important that we understand the impact and scope of online harms. The VCSE sector plays a vital role in addressing online harms including safeguarding vulnerable people from digital harm.

Artificial Intelligence – AI can support the sector, however it also comes with core challenges and risks which need to be explored.

This year’s conference will discuss both issues in detail and hear from key speakers on these topics. There will also be an opportunity to hear from Julia Clough, Lead Manager, Commissioning and Engagement, Policing and Crime on West Yorkshire’s Commissioning Strategy for community-based services 2026-2028 which will include the Duty to Collaborate.
