School Health Survey Workshop

The Wakefield District School Health Survey 2024 was carried out with Year 5, Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12 pupils who attend schools across Wakefield District. 6,600 pupils and students across 67 different schools and colleges took part in the survey, which ran from January to May 2024.

The Wakefield Council Public Health service have used a school health survey every two years since 2009 as a way of collecting information about young people’s health, wellbeing and lifestyles.

These workshops provide an opportunity to provide an overview of the survey findings and what work is already in progress across the Children’s Partnership. They will also provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss and input into what the priorities for action should be and this will feed into the planned refresh of the Children and Young People’s Plan for 2025-2028 (alongside wider engagement and co-production with children, young people and families).

The Public Health team are running two in person sessions:

  • Friday 11 October 2024, 09:30 to 12:30, Kingswood Suite, Wakefield Town Hall, WF1 2HQ
  • Friday 18 October 2024, 09:30 to 12:30, Kingswood Suite, Wakefield Town Hall, WF1 2HQ

Relevant to any VCSE organisations working with young people.
