Welfare Rights Adviser

  • Salary: £24,974 per annum (Pro Rata £12,487) depending on experience
  • Contract status: Fixed term until 30 June 2025 (with a possible extension).
  • Holiday entitlement:  32 days annual leave pro rata + public holidays
  • Pension: Matching 5% employer’s contribution

Citizens Advice Barnsley are excited to announce that they are currently seeking to recruit a Welfare Rights Adviser to join their thriving charity. Their service is busy, dynamic and client focused, with a track record of delivering high quality advice.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with good understanding of interviewing skills and general advice work.

Candidates will work all day Wednesday and Thursday and half day on Friday, delivering an outreach drop in service in the community on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Citizens Advice Barnsley will consider training up a suitable candidate for this position on a reduced salary.
