The Edge Fund is offering 50 grants of £1,000 each to communities and campaign groups based in the UK and Republic of Ireland that are working for social, economic and environmental justice.
The Fund supports efforts to create long-term change in society by addressing the causes of injustice and inequality by achieving social, economic and environmental justice and to end imbalances in wealth and power. It also gives people a say in where the money goes and is an alternative fund for those who struggle to get funding elsewhere.
In the current Roots Funding round, support is available for grassroots groups working to address Islamophobia, Afriphobia, racial injustice, and the legacies of British colonialism in the UK and Ireland.
Groups must have an annual income of less than £5,000 and be grassroots (an unregistered group - e.g. not a CIC, CIO, NGO).
Please note that only 100 applications will be received this year and the application form will be closed at that point.
The Charitable Foundation are funding registered charities for their work around two themes: a place to call home, and financial wellbeing.
Small grants are available for VCSE organisations funding winter activities to help reduce social isolation for older people in the UK.
This funding is designed to help grassroots sports and activity clubs in Wakefield thrive —whether that’s through better equipment, support with venue costs, or training for volunteers.
