In November, we awarded grants to 25 local Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise organisations to provide free, warm and welcoming spaces in communities across Wakefield District.

We're delighted to announce the early findings of the project.

The findings demonstrate the invaluable work of VCSE organisations to support local communities through a challenging winter that saw energy bills rise and the cost of living increase.

Everyone has a right to be warm, and visitors to Warm Spaces also found a warm welcome from staff and volunteers that will mean they continue to seek out support and community.

We'd like to take a moment to thank all of the VCSE organisations in Wakefield District who work tirelessly to support local communities and bring people together. This includes organisations funded to provide Warm Spaces (listed below) and those who set up their own spaces.
