We're committed to being a menopause friendly employer

We're reviewing our policies, practices, training and more to make sure our staff have the guidance and support they need.

We're pleased to share that Nova is working towards being Menopause Friendly Accredited.

Women make up two thirds of the voluntary sector workforce, so many of our colleagues within the Nova team or working for a Nova member are experiencing Menopause or supporting someone who is. It's important that everyone feels included, valued and supported.

Our commitment to being menopause friendly will make sure that menopause is incorporated into our practices, and we're looking forward to learning and improving. Here's some of the ways we already do this:

1. We have a Menopause Policy in place to support our staff - this includes information about flexible working, reasonable adjustments and support available

2. We have a culture where menopause can be talked about openly - this is important to make sure that people get the support they need

3. We offer free menopause health sessions for staff - these are available through the Wakefield Workplace Wellbeing Charter

Our accreditation is supported by West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and Henpicked.
