You can find the Wakefield District Gypsy and Traveller Health Needs Assessment here.
Nationally, Gypsies and Travellers are known to have the worst outcomes of any ethnic group across areas including education, health, employment, criminal justice and hate crime. This HNA aimed to collect data to facilitate improved understanding of the health and wellbeing issues affecting the local Wakefield Gypsy and Traveller community, and to subsequently inform recommendations for change.
Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange (Leeds GATE) will hold two online sessions to provide an overall summary and key findings from the HNA. In addition, they are delivering online training about the daily lives of Gypsies and Travellers, which you may want to attend to learn more. Members of the Gypsy and Traveller community will participate in this session.
