New Programme of Menopause Workshops: Find a date

Nova have secured funding for organisations in Wakefield District to access a new programme of workshops around menopause.

Menopause affects a significant proportion of the workforce – particularly in the VCSE and Health & Social Care sectors, where women make up 73% of the workforce.

Menopause symptoms affect some women’s confidence, concentration and overall wellbeing at work. However only 46% feel able to disclose their symptoms at work due to fear of negative perception (British Menopause Society). With the right understanding and support, organisations can retain experienced employees and build an inclusive culture where women feel supported to perform at their best.

Our new programme of in-person workshops starts in October 2026, with dates until March 2027. The programme aims to raise awareness, build confidence, reduce stigma, and equip organisations with the knowledge and tools needed to provide appropriate, practical, and compassionate support.

The workshop programme is funded by Wakefield District Health & Care Partnership as part of the Healthy Working Life West Yorkshire programme.

Alongside this, we will be coproducing a best practice guide on Designing and Implementing a Menopause Policy so there is ongoing support and resources available for local VCSE organisations.
