Live Well Wakefield is a social prescribing service that empowers people to access resources in their communities that enable them to feel happier and healthier. These grants support this service, funding VCSE organisations to:
- Develop new community services which respond to gaps identified within communities.
- Increase the sustainability of existing grassroots community services.
- Scale up existing provision to meet demand.
For this round of funding, we’re focusing on provision around low level mental health support for working age adults (26-50 years of age).
What are we looking for?
- Support/activities in the east of Wakefield District – information from Live Well Wakefield tells us that more support is needed in Castleford, Airedale, Pontefract, Knottingley and the South East, so this round of funding will prioritise applications from these areas.
- Organisations to use a standardised wellbeing outcome tool – demonstrating how funded activities support and improve positive mental health and wellbeing. Examples of evidence based measures are PHQ-9 or Short Warwick Edinburgh Scale.
- Provision that fits into a wider system of mental health support – with capacity to accept new referrals from Live Well Wakefield, develop referral pathways to make sure there is ongoing support for individuals supported through the funding, and work in partnership with the wider systems of mental health support.
Grants up to £10,000 are available per year - we will consider applications for two years of funding.
