Meet Our Members: Welcoming 3 More Amazing Local VCSE Organisations!

Three amazing VCSE organisations joined Nova in May, bringing us to 470 members supporting communities across Wakefield District.

We're proud to work with such a wide variety of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations that do all kinds of brilliant work across the district! Nova membership is completely free and has lots of benefits, and we're always looking for new groups to support.

We run friendly member induction sessions each month so our new members can come together to learn about the support on offer and meet some of the Nova team. If you think your organisation would benefit from a refresher, do get in touch using the details above for details of upcoming sessions.

Agbrigg Muslim Association

Agbrigg Muslim Association provide education to children from the age of 5-16 years old, prayer facilities, a meeting place for elderly people and more to members of the local Muslim community.

Muziki Community Music

Muziki Community Music deliver music sessions for parents/babies/toddlers and adults with learning difficulties. They also run a Musical Road Safety Awareness Workshop for children aged 4-7 and 8-11 years. The activities of the workshop vary and can be offered to schools within the local area, to help promote road safety.

Shannon Trust

Shannon Trust help people in HMP New Hall and prisons in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland to learn to read so that they can build a more positive future for themselves and their families. They work in partnership with organisations in the community to  provide prisoners with access to education, training, and rehabilitative courses that help them address their offending, gain new skills, and move to employment.
