Can You Help? Health Care Engagement Project

The health care engagement project aims to talk to people about their experiences and ideas to find out the barriers to healthcare and how they can be overcome. Can you help us spread the word?

People with severe mental illnesses are experiencing inequalities in receiving annual health check appointments.

SWYPFT and Cloverleaf Advocacy are looking for people with experience of a severe mental illness to be part of our design group. This will involved helping development with Wakefield-specific marketing and communications to encourage people to attend their health check.

Who will be on the design group?

The group will work with professionals for South West Yorkshire, alocal artist and the local ICB to look at all kinds of media to advertise and give information about the annual health check.

What is a severe mental illness?

The NICE guidelines state that a severe mental illness is a diagnoses of: psychosis, schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder.

Will members be paid for participating?

Members will be paid for their time and involvement.
