
Grants are available to support charities, community organisations, youth projects and sports teams, and individuals across the Wakefield District.
In previous years awards have been made to a wide variety of good causes across the district. They have included kit for youth sports teams, musical instruments for bands, support groups for the elderly, school facilities, equipment for brownie packs, youth clubs and equipment for individuals with very specific needs.
A total of £6000 is available and amounts above £250 will only be granted in exceptional circumstances.

Applications need to be completed and returned in accordance with the instructions on the form by 23 March 2026.
All applicants will be notified of their success or otherwise by 30 April 2026.

Grants to support grassroots organisations providing safe social spaces, mentoring, work, or social skills for young people aged 11 to 25 years old. Priorities are safe spaces, diversionary activities and life skills.
Grants available for UK-based Charities/Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) working with vulnerable children and young adults, especially those at risk of sexual and other forms of exploitation.
