Our member, Words for Wellbeing, are looking for feedback on their wellbeing text service that could benefit your staff. Get involved now!

Our member, Words for Wellbeing, use the written word in innovative, creative and interactive ways to engage with people experiencing mental health and wellbeing issues, loneliness and isolation; accessing the person beneath the diagnosis and helping them to improve their self- esteem, confidence and resilience.

They have a texting service which has proved very effective in the past for their clients. However, they would like to sell this service to commercial companies and businesses to provide Words for Wellbeing with another income stream, the idea being that they would text staff to help to support their mental health.

In order to do this Words for Wellbeing would like to trial it FREE for organisations and their staff to get feedback to use as evidence.

The project would run from December/January until February with a short questionnaire at the end. Words for Wellbeing are interested in finding out if your staff/volunteers felt that the texts have had a positive effect on their mood/mental health; if they helped them through the day, cheered them up etc. And if they felt more ‘cared for/about’ by their employer as a result of the texts.

It will cost participants nothing, they can withdraw at any time by texting STOP back. Their phone numbers are securely stored and will not be passed on to anyone else, they will also be deleted if they withdraw or when the project ends.

Once a week – never on the same day or time, so it’s a nice surprise – a short inspirational text of 146 characters will be texted to them; these are not the usual twee sayings that are popular on mugs or plaques in shops, but are a quote of a couple of lines of poetry or lines from a song or book.
